Woodstock Water Problem
The cupping of this hardwood flooring in Woodstock was the result of a leaking water line in the wall that seeped between the sheathing and the top planks. Our SERVPRO technicians arrived after the water main had been shut off. We opened up the water damaged drywall, replaced the copper line, and then lifted up a section of the flooring. We then placed equipment to dry out the water and moisture for a full day. The sheathing and the reduction in moisture from the underpinning floor joists were crucial to restoring the damaged flooring and walls to a preloss condition. We then applied agents to inhibit mold growth after were used moisture meters to document a return to normal moisture content levels. We then worked on the reconstruction phase of this job.
